Vision Statement for the Church
Pastors Vision Statement
We live in a time and area that needs to hear the Word
spoken plainly and boldly. When the pastor has conducted surveys in the area he
has noticed that there are needs. There are people that are not doing well
financially and they hunger, but above all they need more than what we can put
into their hands. I would implore all in this church body to study and meditate
on Acts 3:6, “Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I
give you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’” It may be
the easiest thing to give a hand out rather than reaching a hand out. With the
“purpose statement” and with this in mind and with much work and prayer in the
community the pastor has the following vision for Trinity Baptist Church.
·
TBC will be a Body that lives up to its mission
or “purpose statement”.
·
TBC will be a Body that is obedient to God, His
Word, and His Commands.
·
TBC will be a Body that is unified in Christ in
all work, mission, and decisions of the church.
·
TBC will be Body that is more concerned outward
than inward
·
When TBC thinks of missions they will first
think of their local community hence why the church is called “the local church”.
From the community the church will then (and only then) start to work more
outward to Shirley. From Shirley the church will then think more outwards such
as state, to states, and then overseas.
·
TBC will be a Body that desires to make true
disciples.
·
TBC will be a church that is accepting of all
people regardless of status, race, or gender.
·
TBC will be a Body that desires to see its own
Body grow and flourish in Christ.
